The duo was formed by the meeting of two musicians with a solid classical background and a committed chamber-symphonic activity that is still on around the world, and at the same time involved in top level experiences in the most various musical scopes spanning from jazz (collaborations with Franco D’Andrea, Paolo Fresu, Claudio Fasoli amongst others) to world music (reserches made in India, the Middle East and Africa), from pop (with the best Italian songwriters as Fossati, Mannoia, Jovanotti) to contemporary music (a number of first performances).
All these elements are condensed in the quite unusual music proposed by the duo thanks to the peculiar and unique combination of bassoon and vibraphone and to the complete freedom in the choice of the pieces arranged, transcript, and continuously modified by the performers. The collaboration with other international composers (from Italy, Brazil, Germany, South Africa) contributed to the creation of pieces expressively composed for the duo. Jazz Standards, contemporary music and world music compositions make their way to a repertoire always open to the change with wide room for improvisation.
